House Cleaning

We finally had a chance today to get at cleaning our very messy home!  We’ll see how long it takes little Lilly to spread her toys all around the house again!  (This picture was not arranged – Lilly really did put all of these toys and socks in the hallway all by herself!)

Hey – Where did everybody go?

Lilly had fun with my nieces who stayed with us last week.  They are 11 and 7 years old.  Lilly played, ran, carried their socks and toys around the house, and even learned to go down the basement stairs.  The girls went back home yesterday.  Early this morning Lilly scratched their bedroom door open only to find that the room was empty.  She was very upset that her new play pals were gone!

Too Big for Her Basket

When we first brought Lilly home she weighed about 4 pounds and fit nicely into her blue plaid doggie basket (bed).

Now that she is 7 months old and almost 20 pounds, her basket has become a little too small for her.  A few days ago we decided to use the basket as a toy box instead.  We set it on the floor and filled it with many of her toys.  Apparently she missed using it as a bed because this morning  she emptied all of her toys out  (by tossing them all over the floor) and tried to lay in her basket.  She was so cute hanging over the edge that I, of course, had to take her picture.  She’s definitely too big for her basket!

A Fun Day

Lilly has enjoyed my time off of work as much as I have (if not more!).

She’s taken a little time to play with each and every one of her new Christmas toys.

Unfortunately, Lilly won’t be quite as happy tomorrow.  I need to head back to work and she is having surgery to be spayed (and will be microchipped as well).  We’re praying everything goes well with her surgery!

It’s Time to Play!

Now that all of the Christmas visits are over, Lilly can enjoy many of the presents she received from friends and family.  She’s having fun deciding what she wants to play with first (and we’re having trouble walking on the toy-covered floor)!
