One Year Ago

It was one year ago that I placed the first picture of Lilly on this blog.  Here she is at just four months old holding one of my socks in her mouth.

And here she is today – a little bigger, much stronger but equally cute (and naughty)!  She can’t resist grabbing my glasses whenever she has a chance.

Lilly Gets a Good Report

Lilly had her haircut today.  Not only did she look adorable with her Halloween bandana when she came back in the house, but we received a good report from Laura, her groomer.  Laura said Lilly was a very good girl – she’s getting a little better every time she has her hair groomed.  Good job Lilly!

Lilly and the Broom

Lilly loves growling and chasing the broom every time her grandpa sweeps the leaves off of the deck.  It makes her soooo mad and it makes us laugh!

As Long As You’re Comfortable!

Isn’t it  amazing how one little dog can take up so much space right in the middle of the bed ?  Oh well,  as long as she’s comfortable!

A Nice Little Addition to my Picture

I have been spending a good deal of my spare time this last week (early mornings and late nights!) photographing items I’m trying to sell online.  Apparently, Lilly thought she could add something to my picture.  First, she entered the picture by standing right on top of the item.  Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she ran to get her toy and placed her toy and herself right back on the item.  She was right, by the way – she makes everything look better!

Our Daily Game of Chase

Lilly loves finding new small things to put in her mouth – everything from leaves to pistachio shells, from my glasses (a big no-no!) to caps from my water and juice bottles.  It is part of the daily routine in our home to  see me chasing Lilly  to remove whatever it is that she has in her mouth.  The great thing is, once you catch her  (which is the part she enjoys the most!), she will let you take the object right out of her mouth.  She never growls or tries to nip.  Once I have removed the object from her mouth, she darts as fast as she can up to the arm of the couch and watches me as I throw the item in the garbage.  I can almost hear her saying, “Mom, you’re such a party pooper!  I was just having a little fun!”

It’s Time to Play in the Leaves Again!

Lilly can’t imagine anything more fun than pouncing right in the middle of a great big pile of leaves!

Fall Ride

It was an incredibly warm and beautiful fall day today!  Since it’s been quite a while, we decided to take Lilly for a nice long ride in the car.  She enjoyed every minute of it.  She alternated sticking her nose out the window and sleeping on my lap.  What a little sweetheart!
