Weeds

I pulled a few weeds from one of our flower gardens and set them on the railing.   I sat down on the deck for just a few minutes before grabbing a bag to clean them up and…well, these pictures tell the rest of the story.

Just Another Beautiful Summer Day

Just another beautiful summer day at our house.  Lilly is enjoying the 75 degree temperatures and watching the squirrels outside!

It’s Time to Play in the Leaves Again!

Lilly can’t imagine anything more fun than pouncing right in the middle of a great big pile of leaves!

Beautiful Spring Days

Lilly can’t get enough of being outside lately.  Even when she’s inside, she wants to be back outside again. Who can blame her?  We’ve also been enjoying the sun and temperatures in the 70s!

A Little Visitor

Lilly and I were watching out our back window this morning when we spotted this little robin gathering materials to build her nest.  Lilly did not even bark, so I was able to snap a few pictures.

Sticks

What does Lilly enjoy even more than her favorite dried liver treats?

Fresh sticks (small branches) that have recently fallen off of the trees surrounding our house.  She tosses them around the yard and is sure to carry one with her every time she comes back into the house.  She lays down (back legs out, of course) puts it between her front paws and then chews it just like a rawhide bone.  They are a bit messy since she doesn’t eat them – she just leaves bits of wood all over the floor. It’s a good thing our vacuum cleaner works well!

Road Trip

This past weekend we traveled to Milwaukee for my niece’s 11th birthday.  It was so warm that we were able to spend a good deal of time outside.  Lilly had a great time, too!

Again?

Not only does Lilly toss around pieces of her rawhide bones inside the house, but she has also discovered the fun of tossing tiny pieces of ice and snow all around the yard. (I’m amazed at her ability to find the tiny bits of ice even when they land in a big pile of snow.)

She’s only asked to go outside about 14 times today!

Hello Neighbor!

Lilly enjoyed a crisp, sunny winter day today.  She sat in the snow for at least 20 minutes just watching the neighbor dogs.  She is so fascinated by them.  She was only back in the house about five minutes before she wanted to go right back outside!
